In 1990, Terry Walker and his wife Lyndsay, along with their youngest child Jon, were at a pivotal point in their small scrap business. It was the year Jon was born when they decided to relocate to more spacious premises, driven by a larger aspiration. Their vision was clear: to establish themselves as the premier scrap car and salvage yard in Bolton, and that vision was beginning to materialize.

While the business has undergone significant growth in the past two decades, the core values have remained unwavering. The Scrappers is, at its heart, a family-run enterprise, deeply committed to ensuring that every individual who avails our services experiences the personal touch that sets us apart. Today, it's not just Terry and Lyndsay steering The Scrappers towards success; their children Jemma, Jon, and Cathy are actively contributing to the journey.

Our global reach extends to partnerships with overseas companies, enabling us to export cars and their components to numerous countries, including Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Lebanon, Spain, and Poland, among others. Our expansion has also transcended regional boundaries, as we've established a nationwide network of scrap car collection agents.
