Since its founding in 1939, Synetiq has become one of the UKs leading dismantling and salvage specialists. The company has developed and expanded considerably over the years. It now employs over 500 full-time staff and currently occupies over 105 acres spread across 20 sites.

(National Salvage Group), a leader in its field of contract salvage buying, as well as of the C.A.R.E group (The Consortium for Automotive Recycling), a partnership with vehicle manufacturers aimed at raising the standard of end-of-life vehicle disposal and recycling in the UK.

Sydney Martin (Grandfather to Richard & Dave) establishes Doncaster Motor Spares
1974
John Schofield founds Car Transplants, at the age of just 20 years old
1985
Eric Martin hands control of Doncaster Motor Spares to his sons, Richard & Dave Martin
1991
Foreign Auto Breakers is established... Initially as a BMW specialist
1996
Established own online auction "4salvage.co.uk" selling accident-damaged vehicles
1997
Dave Harcourt starts DH Systems, an IT support and software business based in Edinburgh

Car Transplants establish Nationwide Auto Salvage Amalgamation (NASA)

The Motorhog brand is born - launched alongside a brand new auction website

Motorhog moves to a 27-acre site in Adwick-le-Street, now SYNETIQ's Head Office
