Axle - Front or Rear

A rear axle joins the chassis of the car to the wheels and helps to maintain the wheels position in relation to others and the vehicle body.

Over time, rear axles can crack wear or bend from rough terrain. Telltale signs your rear axle is damaged or worn are wheel wobbling at low speeds, vibration at high speed. You may also feel as if you have less control of your vehicle. It is dangerous to continue driving as rear axle will cause brake pad misalignment which will affect the ability to brake.

If your rear axle has reached the end of it’s life cycle, it can be easily replaced at low cost with moderate mechanical knowledge.
